What a lovely read. So interesting to see the cat personalities play out, very true that humans can have similar world views. I love the sound of your cosy Loch fyne home! I’m Scottish and living in Bristol so miss the beauty of the Scottish countryside, it’s captivating.
Thank you for reading, Hannah. Quite a lot of this post arrived while I was on my daily walks along the shore - so much inspiration to be found in nature. I hope you manage to get back to Scotland occasionally for a refill. Archie is on my lap, "helping" me reply to you.
What a marvellous post! And not just because of the gorgeous cat photos, though they are quite the bonus. Archie and Sid's dynamic sounds a lot like Copurrnicus and Grabbity - he's decided that the world owes him cuddles regardless of how inconvenient that might be for (usually) me at the time; she feels the need to ask politely every time, despite being ten years older than him. In fact, as I write this, Copurrnicus is literally stretched out over my arms, making it quite hard to to type! I sometimes wish I had his confidence!!
Thank you, Suw, I enjoyed writing this one. Copurrnicus does sound like he's from the Sid school of entitlement. Cats are such fascinating companions. I used to think I was a dog person and while I still love them, cats edge it for me now.
Thank you, Jeffrey. The reality was even better. We had a run of those golden autumn afternoons a week or two ago and I was left gasping. Today the sky is gun-metal and the water is like mackerel skin. Beautiful but different.
Awww, what sweet babies. We can learn a lot about ourselves by learning about animals, and these two are very instructive indeed!
They are indeed, Sydney. They're such gorgeous characters. Thank you for reading.
