More Mindset: Have You Factored This Into Your Cost of Living?
Here comes a question that we would all do well to ask ourselves
Budgeting isn’t the most fun thing in life, certainly not for me.
My attitude to my finances used to be rather… let’s be kind and say ‘organic’. Over the last few years, though, I’ve worked hard to get my act together and these days I’m much more clued up on the money front. I keep my accounts reasonably up to date and know roughly what’s in my bank account, and what’s not. (Are you listening, 30-year-old me?)
But here’s the thing about costs:
The most important ones aren’t financial
This week’s More Mindset question requires us to take a long, hard look at WHO we are, WHERE we are, and HOW we’re doing at this point in our lives.
It asks us to tune into that itch that so many of us have, that we were born for something more, and find out what’s going on there. Are we being and doing our more? Or still trying to figure it out? Or ignoring the itch altogether?
This question also demands that we be honest about whether we’re moving forward into joy and fulfilment, or coasting along in the “it’ll do for now” lane, or endlessly circling the “maybe some day” roundabout.
